Just because we are in a recession does not  mean that you still will not be able to make some extra money.  There are several different ways a person can make money if you are willing to put some time and effort into it.  Below is just a few examples of some ways that you can make some extra cash.

Snow removal-  If you live in an area where you get a lot of snow and you already own a snow shovel and a snow blower you are already set to go out and make some extra money.  Everyone needs snow removal.  You could walk around your neighbor and let your neighbors know that you offer snow removal.  Print up some fliers and drop them off door to door.  Another great way to advertise this service is posting a ad on Craigslist.  

Gutter cleaning-  This is another excellent way to make money.  Any one who has a home and has trees close by will need their gutters cleaned.  All you need to have to offer this service is a ladder, bucket, gloves, garbage bag and not be afraid of heights.  Printing fliers and going door to door is a great way to get the word out.  

Yard service- Mowing yards and rakking leaves is an excellent way to generate some money.  If you already own a lawn mower you are already set to go.  Talk to your neighbors and let them know you offer this service.  Most people would love to have their yard mowed and would even let you use their mower.  If you don’t have a lawn mower you could rake leaves and do general yard clean up work.

Internet business- If physical labor isn’t something you are interested in you could start your own internet business.  There are hundreds of opportunities out there and you can start with very little money.  Working online is a great way to make a couple of hundred dollars a day but you will still have to work hard and be determined to succeed.

As with any business adventure do your research and find something that interests you the most.  Make a plan and set some goals.  If you are determined you will set yourself up for great success.
